Session
IEEE
International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time Computing Systems
and Applications (RTCSA 2008)
Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Submission Deadline: June 8, 2008
Web site: http://www.rtcsa.org/index.html
Work-in-Progress Chair: Pei-Yin Chen (pychen@csie.ncku.edu.tw) and
Chin-Fu Kuo (chinfukuo2006@nuk.edu.tw)
RTCSA 2008 is going to be held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Carry on with the
tradition, the RTCSA conference series, will bring together researchers
and developers from academia and industry for advancing the technology
of embedded and real-time computing systems and applications. This year
RTCSA will hold a special Work-in-Progress session which will be
chaired by Pei-Yin Chen and Chin-Fu Kuo.
RTCAS 2008 seeks work-in-progress papers describing contributions both
to state of the art and state of the practice in the broad field of
embedded and real-time computing, control, and embedded systems.
Contributions can cover
• embedded software
• real-time / embedded operating systems
• power-aware computing
• hardware / software co-design
• timing or QoS issues in computation and networking
• QOS supports in OS / middleware
• ubiquitous/pervasive computing / information
appliances
• design methodology and software architectures for
embedded systems
• system support for mobile computing
• case studies / industrial experiences with building
embedded applications
Submitted papers should describe original on-going research; should be
a maximum of 4 pages in two-column, single-space, 10pt format. Papers
should be submitted electronically through our email. Only the PDF
format manuscripts are accepted for review. The material must be
unpublished and not under submission elsewhere.
Please send your papers to chinfukuo2006@nuk.edu.tw.

Embedded software has
become a necessity in almost every aspects of the daily lives of
individuals and organizations, from self-contained applications to
those embedded in various devices and services (mobile phones, vital
sign sensors, medication dispensers, home appliances, engine ignition
systems, etc). A large proportion of these systems are mission/life
critical and performance sensitive.
The 14th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time
Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA 2008) will bring together
researchers and developers from academia and industry for advancing the
technology of embedded and real-time systems, and ubiquitous computing
applications. The conference has the following goals: to investigate
advances in embedded and real-time systems and ubiquitous computing
applications; to promote interaction among the areas of embedded
computing, real-time computing and ubiquitous computing; to evaluate
the maturity and directions of embedded and real-time system and
ubiquitous computing technology. RTCSA 2008 invites submissions of
papers presenting a high quality original research and development for
the conference tracks: (1) Real-time Systems, (2) Ubiquitous Computing,
and (3) Embedded Systems. Authors are invited to submit original,
previously unpublished work to the conference. The submission
guidelines and topics of interests can be found on conference website, http://www.rtcsa.org.
The 14th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time
Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA 2008) will be held in
Kaohsiung, Taiwan -- The capital of Sea. Similar to earlier RTCSA
conferences, there will be three days parallel tracks program,
satellite workshops/tutorials, and panel discussion.
General Information for
